Hi, I’m David Perez! A husband, father, and artist with over a decade of experience in the animation industry. I’ve had the privilege of working with studios like Disney, DreamWorks, Netflix, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Sony and many more where I contributed to projects that brought stories and characters to life.

I also worked as a 2D animator on Andreas Deja’s film Mushka and have been fortunate to learn from industry legends such as Animator Mario Menjivar and Master Character Designer Joe Moshier, while continuing to refine my craft under the mentorship of Master Character Designer Craig Kellman.

Teaching and giving back has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I run online workshops and share free tips on my Instagram @Cra0la and YouTube channel @dzine555, helping aspiring artists master the fundamentals of character design.

At the heart of my philosophy is a simple truth: There’s no such thing as advanced, only a deeper understanding of the basics. My work whether through books, workshops, or videos is about making learning clear, approachable, and inspiring for artists at any stage of their creative journey.
